I looked over my researched artists and found Ghada Amer and artist living in New York who uses mixed media, one of which includes stitch work. I started off by making my own piece on Photoshop to create a stitching effect to one of my compositions shown earlier and today i decided to do this all by hand. I started off by drawing from images of myself in three different colours onto A4 foamboard, and then i made a faint outline of another drawing, however apart from using pen I used Ghada Amer's technique and hand stitched using orange thread.

Whilst stitching, I found it easier to made pin holes with the needle before hand so it's an easier guide from underneath. I really enjoyed this technique and reckon it turned out better than I thought (even though my drawings are terrible) Doing this process, it has built up my textiles skills and i feel a lot more confident doing this. It can also help me in the future for if i were to ever need to do stitch work (especially if I'll need to stitch my children's name badges on their uniform haha)
